Heimdall Studio gives me a place to build the things I think are worth making — whether that is an app, a tool, a game or something else entirely.
There is no fixed formula. Some projects solve a practical problem, others may exist because the idea is interesting or simply fun to explore.
Working independently means I can choose the direction myself and give each project the time and attention it needs.
What matters
A few principles behind what I build.
Purpose comes first
A project should have a reason to exist — solving something useful, exploring an idea or creating an experience worth spending time with.
Complexity has to earn its place
More features, systems or technology are not automatically better. Complexity should add something meaningful.
Built with care
Reliable behaviour, maintainable foundations and thoughtful details matter more than chasing every new trend.
The name
Why Heimdall?
The name Heimdall comes from Norse mythology and is associated with vigilance, awareness and guardianship.
The mythology is not meant to be a literal theme for the studio. I simply like what the name stands for: staying alert, building things you can rely on and taking care of what should remain protected.
What's next
One project at a time.
OdoBuddy is the first public project from Heimdall Studio. More projects may follow — apps, tools, games or something completely different — when there is an idea worth building and something worth showing.
